DUNE REVEGETATION
GOLD COAST COASTAL MANAGEMENT
The Griffith Centre for Coastal Management (GCCM) undertakes research relevant to sustainable management of urban environments in coastal regions with a focus on physical processes affecting catchments, waterways and beaches.
GCCM actively promotes effective coastal management through community education, professional development and research training.
The CoastEd program seeks to increase the capacity of the Gold Coast Community to participate in coastal decision making. the program provides presentation and activities to schools and community groups allowing students and others to learn about our precious coastal environments.
BeachCare is a community-based program assisting in the establishing groups to undertake activities caring for the Gold Coast beaches and foreshores. Activities may involve dune planting, weeding, seed collection and propagation.
